NegotiateAI ("we," "our," or "us") operates the NegotiateAI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App.
By using NegotiateAI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
When you create an account, we collect: email address, display name, and password (encrypted, never stored in plain text).
During onboarding and app usage, we collect: negotiation experience level, communication style preferences, self-identified areas for improvement, negotiation goals, and language/regional accent preferences.
When you use NegotiateAI for negotiation practice, we collect: voice recordings during practice sessions (processed in real-time, not permanently stored as audio files), text transcripts of your practice conversations, negotiation scores and technique evaluations, session duration and metadata, and custom scenario descriptions you create.
We automatically collect: app usage patterns, device type and operating system, and crash reports and performance data.
Voice Processing: Your voice input is streamed in real-time to our AI partner (xAI/Grok) for the opponent to respond. Audio is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored as audio files by us.
Performance Scoring: Your conversation transcripts are sent to our AI scoring engine (Anthropic/Claude) for technique analysis and feedback generation.
Custom Scenarios: Scenario descriptions you provide are sent to our AI engine to generate realistic practice opponents.
Profile Personalization: Your profile data is used to personalize coaching feedback and track your improvement over time.
We also use aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve the App. We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.
xAI (Grok Voice Agent API): Powers the AI negotiation opponent. Data shared: voice audio (real-time streaming), session instructions. Privacy policy

Apple / Google (In-App Purchases): Payment processing. We do not collect or store payment card information.
Your account data and session history are stored in a secure, encrypted database hosted by Supabase. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Voice audio is streamed in real-time and is not permanently stored as audio files. We use industry-standard security measures and HTTPS encryption.
Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
Session history: Retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual sessions from within the App.
Voice audio: Processed in real-time, not permanently stored.
Custom scenarios: Retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual scenarios.
You have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate profile information, delete your account and all associated data, export your data, and opt out of non-essential data collection. Contact us at privacy@negotiateai.app.
NegotiateAI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our third-party service providers operate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or by email.
